Truman are delighted, tickled, OVERJOYED to be part of this COOL, ECLECTIC SHOW at the Red Herring starting at 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016.
Dudes. RACHAEL KILGOUR IS SINGING A SONG WITH US! Sorry for shouting.
Headlining the event with some of Duluth’s finest musical minds is Timothy Martin & The New Norm. Members include (lifted straight from TM’s facebook page): Rio Daugherty, B Wells, Peter Knutson, Dicky Brooks, Bernie Larsen, Russ Sackett, Jim Hagstrom, Brad Nelson T Bruce Bauer, Tom Fabjance, Bob Olson. They do a very cool post-punk, alternative thing.
Middle card is yours TRULY, (A Band Called) Truman. We’ll be debuting a new saxophone player, Bradley Bombardier and some new tunes in our set: jam-packed with our roots rockin’ originals, a few ska-punk covers …. and …
a very special new Amy Winehouse cover sung by none other than Duluth’s own Rachael Kilgour, fresh off her triumphant Grand Prize win in the Lincoln Center’s NewSong Contest (really? She agreed to do this?) and on her way to Sundance Film Festival to perform on the same stage with STING!
Opening up the show at about 8:30 is Abe Curran (sans Blue Rooster, wethinks).
And the venue — the Red Herring. Need we say more?
Come on out Saturday — love to see you there!
Oh, here’s a link to Chris Modec-Halverson’s Truman Gig Poster … print it out, put it up at work, IMPRESS your FRIENDS!

That’s why you should come hear A Band Called Truman play the final set of the whole shebang at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, May 3, at Canal Park Brewing Co., Duluth.
Get back to the basics.
Get reoriented, centered, purified and sanctified by some good old fashioned rock/punk/R&B/lo-fi fusion with a six-piece horn section, whatever that is.
Ignore your hangover. Ignore the naysayers. Also ignore the universe of infinite oddity that will have happened by the time Truman’s set rolls around. No, we’ll just keep all that weirdness where it belongs, in the future’s past.
Just admit that you ought to … you want to … you need to finish what you started.
Make Homegrown 2015 the best #HGMF ever — come on down and hear A BAND CALLED TRUMAN bring down the house!
